"Oh Yes You Can!" Dr. Jim Verlengia will present a thought-provoking and motivating presentation on September 18. His presentation will allow you to take a step back from reality and focus on the most important aspects of your life. As a motivating and optimistic speaker, Dr. Verlengia is sure to inspire and impact both your personal and professional life. Dr. Verlengia is currently the Director of Partnership services at Heartland AEA11. He has dedicated his life to education serving students as a teacher, coach and administrator. Dr. Verlengia received a BA from the University of Northern Colorado, a MA from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado, and an Educational Specialist and Doctorate Degree from Drake University. Through presentations Dr. Verlengia gives throughout the nation, he continues to support and promote what he believes to be our country’s biggest natural resource – our children. For his efforts and commitments to youth, Dr. Verlengia has received local, state and national recognition as a catalyst in the middle school movement, and was the recipient of the Iowa Middle Level Educators’ “Educator of the Year” award.
