Ambassador program
YPIowa initiated the Ambassador Program in January of 2009. Currently, there are three major regions and four communities participating in this program as a pilot. These include:
NW Iowa: Sioux City
Central Iowa: Des Moines & Marshalltown
Eastern/Central Iowa: Quad Cities (Davenport, Bettendorf & Surrounding Areas)
Future plans include expansion of the program to other regions and communities throughout Iowa. Additional communities will be added in 2010 including Cedar Rapids.
The primary objectives are to engage volunteers throughout Iowa help to connect young talent seeking to move or stay in Iowa with career, business and community-based opportunities. This program provides networking opportunities, word-of-mouth references and resources to aid YP job seekers in their efforts to find employment in Iowa.
YP Job seekers should send an e-mail to jobs@ypiowa.com with your resume, type of positions, industry, and location(s) you are interested in. You information will be distributed to the appropriate Regional Advisors and local Ambassadors will follow up and work to connect you to opportunities.
Employers should send emails to jobs@ypiowa.com with information about specific job openings that would be ideal for YP candidates looking to stay or move to Iowa. Regional Advisors and local Ambassadors will connect YP candidates with these opportunities.
Partner organizations should send emails to jobs@ypiowa.com with information about how you would like to partner with YPIowa and what opportunities might exist for cross promoting efforts and initiatives.
