YP February Luncheon - Nutrition

 Join us at the NICC Town Clock Center on February 17th from 11:45 am - 1 pm to learn about nutrition from Megan Dalsing, Hy-Vee's Registered Dietician.  Megan will talk about how we can make healthy food choices during the work day and work lunches, as well as eating healthy on the road!  Deadline for registration is Friday, February 12th, so register now!
 
 

Rescheduled YP January Etiquette Luncheon

Have the jitters about eating and talking during an interview meal or business meeting? Want to know which utensils to use when you are dining in a professional setting? Can't figure out how to keep a professional/business conversation going? Jan Powers of Powers of Communication will share the answers to these and lots of other burning questions, at the YP Etiquette luncheon from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm on February 2nd at the Best Western Midway Hotel. Deadline for registration is Friday, January 29th, so register now!

Due to poor weather conditions on the original scheduled date for this event, we postponed the Etiquette luncheon for Februrary 2nd, 2010.

YP Dubuque Book Club Reads The Traveler's Gift

On Wednesday, January 27th, the YP Dubuque Book Club will be gathering at 6:30 pm at Panera Bread. The book club will discuss The Traveler's Gift by Andy Andrews. Please email Liz_Recker@mcgraw-hill.com for more information.



YP Dubuque Wine Club - Wine Pairing Event
The YP Dubuque Wine Club is re-uniting!  On February 11th, from  5:30 - 7 pm the group will be hosting a wine tasting class in the Hy-Vee Asbury Club Room. Deb Clemens, the Hy-Vee wine and spirits manager and certified wine specialist will instruct the class on tasting and pairings.  A variety of wines in both red and white will be poured along with a variety of cheeses for pairing.  The floor will be open for questions and answers from the group.
 
If you have interest in being a part of the Wine Club, or simply would like to attend this event Register Here by February 8th!  Cost to attend is $11.00.
 

YP Dubuque Small Business & Entrepreneurs Club - NEW!

YP Dubuque has a wine club, a book club and now we also have the small business & entrepreneurs club. If you own your own business or are thinking about starting one, this is the group for you. The first meeting will entail getting to know one another, coming up with a list of related topics and time to see how we can help one another with our knowledge and expertise. We want to touch on topics about all aspects of having your own business everything from legal contracts to marketing 101. Our first meeting will be February 9, 2010, 5:30 pm -7:30 pm at Catfish Charlie's. Chad Gookin serves as the Circulation Sales & Retention Management for Telegraph Herald. In this role, he is responsible for expanding and maintaining their subscriber base through a variety of sales and marketing initiatives. He also helps coordinate the numerous Telegraph Herald events held throughout the year such as: "Are You Smarter Than a CEO"; "Big Boy Toy Show"; "Salute to Women"; etc. He currently resides in Monticello with his wife, Britni and two amazing daughters Addison and Hayden.
