5 Things the CEO Wants You To Know But Probably Hasn't Mentioned...

Most young professionals want to make a meaningful contribution at work, but can become frustrated by the endless maze of politics (and butt-kissing?) that seems to be required to get ahead at many organizations. If only you had a magic decoder ring that gave you the inside track on what the CEO is looking for - and what she/he is turned off by - so that you could get on the fast-track! In this presentation, Rebecca Ryan - who's interviewed and worked side-by-side with hundreds of CEOs and executives - takes you inside the C'suite to share what they're looking for in their next generation leaders.

Date: Wednesday, March 24
Time: 11:30am-1:00pm
Location: Iowa Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, Davenport
Cost: $15 for members, $20 for non-members (lunch and webcast included)

Volunteer with The Network

The Network: Young Professionals of the Quad Cities works to help involve area young professionals in the many volunteer opportunities that the Quad Cities has to offer through a program called eNgage.

Whether through The Network, non-profit organizations, community service projects, civic organizations, public service, or other activities, it's important to eNgage yourself in the quality of life offered here in the Quad Cities. Volunteering not only helps you meet new people, but allows you to give back to the community and helps the area's growth.

Volunteer at one of the following opportunities:

  • Do you Relay? Relay for Life Scott County is looking for your help. The Relay committee has volunteer opportunities for our upcoming Relay for Life in July. There are several openings available from coordinating Entertainment and Activities during the 12 hours Relay for Life, Food and Hospitality, Online and AV assistance, Team Mentoring and Youth Engagement. The committee meets once a month to plan for the big event held on July 16 at the Brady Street Stadium.
