Could Your Life Be a Reality Television Show? |
Have you ever wondered if your life could be featured on a reality television show? Would you be able to act normal around the camera crew? Would you try to constantly be at the top of your game whether it’s your appearance, your manners, how you would discipline your children? Imagine how the people in your community would react. Would they embrace it? Would they be shocked to learn about the real you? Remember the movie Edtv. This was the movie that Mathew McConaughey starred in where every second of his life was aired on live television. If a network producer came to your doorstep tomorrow and offered you $1 million to be on reality television show for 3 months, would you do it? How long would it take you to weigh the different factors?
I think I would do it for sure. For instance, who would want to miss the highlight of my day today? On the way to taking my 5 year old daughter to school, I stopped by McDonalds to grab a free Caramel Café Latte, which by the way is pretty darn good. McDonald’s recently inserted a pretty good array of coupons in newspapers across the country and one of them was a free small McCafe Coffee drink. I’m one of those people who hate to redeem coupons for free stuff though. I had to make a story up for the employee before entering McDonald’s because I feel guilty about redeeming coupons. I think I said something like, “I got this in the newspaper and figured that I would try it”. Do you think that McDonald’s employee really cared why I was redeeming my coupon for free coffee?
With that, I think I just got an idea for my next blog but you’ll have to wait until next time. Now that I think about it, that blog would have been a lot more interesting.
Anyway, let us know if you would star in your own reality show and how much money it would take. I would really like to see if anybody would turn it down. |
